If you have been searching for a used Dodge dealer, then you probably already know what kind of vehicle you want to buy. However, if you haven’t considered a used Dodge, we have put together a list of the top 5 best used Dodge models to buy. This isn’t throwing any shade at other Dodge vehicles, but these are our favorites, and all of them are guaranteed to provide you with a fun ride. Let’s get the countdown started!

#5 – 2015 Dodge Viper

If you are looking for a one of a kind sports car that can keep up with anything on the road, then a Dodge Viper might be just what the doctor ordered. This spectacular model is raw and unbridled with its V10 engine and stellar technology. You won’t be disappointed with Dodge’s ultimate performance masterpiece – provided you can find one for sale and can afford the likely six-figure price tag.

Available in four trim levels, all models are powered by a monstrous 8.4-liter V10 motor that generates up to a staggering 650 hp and 600 lb-ft of torque. Equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission and rear-wheel drive, you will maintain total control over how much power the vehicle uses. In track tests, this sports car accelerated from zero to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds.

Standard technology that you will find inside the 2015 Dodge Viper includes keyless ignition and entry, cruise control, automatic climate control, power-adjustable pedals, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. The advanced infotainment interface is displayed on a standard 8.4-inch touchscreen running the Uconnect software. Voice-controlled navigation is available, as well as Bluetooth connectivity and an 18-speaker Harman Kardon premium stereo system.

#4 – 2014 Dodge Avenger

Midsize sedans are just about extinct these days. With the primary focus shifted to SUVs and trucks, midsize cars like the 2014 Dodge Avenger are hard to find. However, we highly recommend this model if you do come across one. Thanks to its comfortable interior and powerful V6 engine, you’ll love every second you spend inside of it.

There are two powertrain options depending on which model you find on the used market. The SE and SXT trims feature a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder motor that generates 173 hp and 166 lb-ft of torque. Equipped with front-wheel drive and an automatic transmission, you can expect to get about 24 MPG combined (21 MPG city / 29 MPG highway). If you find an R/T model, it will be equipped with a 3.6-liter V6 that pumps out 283 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. This peppy vehicle can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in just 6.7 seconds. It also has a reasonable fuel economy of 22 MPG combined (19 MPG city / 28 highway).

#3 – 2016 Dodge Dart

Are you in the market for an affordable compact sedan with solid technology? The 2016 Dodge Dart is a great choice. This was the last production year for the Dart before it was retired, so the technology is better on these models than in previous years.

Available in six unique trims, there are three engines to choose from. The entry-level SE trim is equipped with a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine that makes 160 hp and 148 lb-ft of torque. Although a 6-speed manual transmission is standard, you may be able to find one with a 6-speed automatic instead. The estimated fuel economy is about 29 MPG combined (25 MPG city / 35 MPG highway), which is very good.

If you find an Aero or a Turbo model, these will be fitted with a turbocharged 1.4-liter 4-cylinder engine that delivers 160 hp and 184 lb-ft of torque. Again, the 6-speed manual is standard, but you might be able to find one with a 6-speed automatic transmission. The average fuel economy is around 32 MPG combined (28 MPG city / 39 MPG highway), which is absolutely stellar!

Finally, the SXT, GT, and Limited trim levels are all powered by a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder motor. Generating 184 hp and 174 lb-ft of torque, the 6-speed manual transmission is standard. However, you can find trims with a 6-speed automatic transmission if you look hard enough. You can also expect to get about 27 MPG combined (23 MPG city / 34 MPG highway).

#2 – 2018 Dodge Charger

One of our favorite used Dodge vehicles is the 2018 Dodge Charger. As a newer model, you will get all the latest bells and whistles without having to pay full price. Plus, who doesn’t want to own an American legend? Available in ten trims, this four-door sedan can seat up to five people, making it surprisingly practical.

The standard engine on the SXT base trim is a 3.6-liter V6 that makes 292 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. However, if you find an SXT Plus with the Super Track Pack, the performance will be bumped up to 300 hp and 264 lb-ft of torque. If you want something even more powerful, the R/T has a 5.7-liter V8 rumbling under the hood. Pumping out 370 hp and 395 lb-ft of torque, this model also comes with upgraded brakes, paddle shifters, 20-inch wheels, and a sport-tuned suspension. Meanwhile, the R/T Scat Pack uses a 6.4-liter V8 to generate 485 hp and 475 lb-ft of torque. It comes with Brembo brakes, leather upholstery, and heated seats throughout the cabin.

Finally, the most powerful engine is equipped on the top-tier SRT Hellcat. This supercharged V8 produces an astonishing 707 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque. It also gets an upgraded suspension and power-adjustable steering. The optional 19-speaker Harman Kardon stereo is also something to look for if you love music.

#1 – 2019 Dodge Challenger

At the top of our list is the coveted Dodge Challenger. We highly recommend the 2019 model due to its incredible technology. You can find great used Challengers for less if you look for older models; however, we couldn’t resist talking about this magnificent ride. With room for four adults and plenty of engine options, you can’t go wrong with this American icon!

Available in six trims, the base SXT model is well equipped with a 3.6-liter V6 engine. Pumping out 305 hp and 268 lb-ft of torque, this muscle car uses an 8-speed automatic transmission. It even comes with advanced smartphone integration via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The second powertrain comes into play on the R/T trim. This trim has a 5.7-liter V8 motor that pushes out 375 hp and 410 lb-ft of torque with the 6-speed manual transmission. However, if you find one with the 8-speed automatic transmission, the performance will be rated at 372 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque.

The mid-level R/T 392 is fitted with a larger 6.4-liter V8 that makes 485 hp and 475 lb-ft of torque. It also comes with race car features like launch control, line lock, and Brembo brakes. Meanwhile, the SRT Hellcat uses a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 that produces a staggering 717 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque. Equipped with quad exhaust tips, adaptive suspension, and a dual-snorkel hood, this beast is quite impressive.

Lastly, a used SRT Hellcat Redeye will give you incredible power. With an uprated 6.4-liter engine growling under the hood, it makes 797 hp and 707 lb-ft of torque. Plus, it has a ton of advanced safety features such as rain-sensing wipers, automatic high beams, adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, rear cross-traffic alert, blindspot monitoring, and so much more. This makes it equally adept on the track or on the city streets.
