2022 Ford Bronco: From Daily Driver to Off-Road G.O.A.T.

Depending on where you live and how adventurous you feel, there are many levels of recreational off-roading you can venture into. From leisurely green laning on the unmaintained, lesser-traveled roads to bashing through the sandy dunes of the desert, or blasting through the mud after rock crawling, there’s an adventure for any level of expertise on the trail with any style of off-road vehicle build. No matter if you’re driving a stock vehicle, an all-wheel-drive unibody soft-roader with a little bit of a lift that you primarily use for daily driving, or if you are a full-blown 4×4 hobbyist with a custom-built off-road rig designed to make it through any condition trail or crawl through the rocks, there’s a trail waiting for you. Now imagine buying a brand-new, factory-built off-road vehicle that’s fully equipped to hit the trail, drive through the mud, and crawl over some rocks right off the dealer’s lot and still be able to take it to work in the morning. With the 2022 Ford Bronco, that’s an option.

A Blast From the Past

When Ford released its sixth-generation Bronco onto the market and into the inventory of dealerships around the country in 2021 after 24 years of being off the market, off-road enthusiasts were in awe. Its appearance resembled its first-generation predecessor, which was introduced for the 1966 model year. Sharing the boxiness, rounded corners, and headlights of the original, the new-generation Bronco brought fanatics a blast from their past.

The Ford Bronco’s original concept was to be a Goes Over Any Terrain (G.O.A.T.) vehicle. Although the name G.O.A.T. never made it to becoming the nameplate for the Bronco, its capabilities did and carried on through the years. The new-generation Bronco is not currently available with a V8 engine like its earlier years, but the turbocharged V6 variety with the seven selectable (Goes Over Any Type of Terrain) G.O.A.T. Modes provide a customizable driving experience no matter what the road conditions may be, allowing the Bronco to hold its own on and off the road, making them just as capable and more efficient than ever before. With the help of long-time Bronco fanatics and off-road enthusiasts, as well as the Bronco’s endless possibilities on any terrain, there is no question as to why the sixth-generation Ford Bronco has made it to 2022.

Driving the Bronco Farther Off Pavement for 2022

As capable as the first model of the newest generation Bronco was, Ford wanted to push it even farther than its competitors could go for 2022. The Bronco is now available with tube doors for a rugged appearance and safety out on the trail and new powder-coated steel Capable Front Bumper with built-in tow hooks and integrated fog lights. You can even enhance your off-road performance even more with the Sasquatch off-road package being available to add to manual transmission models, allowing for an impressive crawl ratio. What’s even more exciting is the all-new special Everglades Edition, which makes the already capable 2022 Ford Bronco the ultimate off-road warrior.

The Bronco already owns the trail with its off-roading designed chassis with body protection, four-wheel drive technology, Terrain Management System with G.O.A.T. Modes, 35-inch off-road tires, High-Performance Suspension System, and available package add-ons to maximize performance, just to name a few. The additional Everglades Edition brings the Bronco to a whole new level of off-road perfection. It comes standard with the Sasquatch Package and is equipped with reversible air vents and a quick-swap snorkel that runs up the passenger side to drive in the most extreme conditions that require better engine air intake, like driving through heavy dust and high water of up to 36.4 inches.

Plus, with the 10,000-pound ZEON 10-S WARN winch with a 100-foot line integrated into the heavy-duty front bumper, you’ll be able to get yourself and your wheeling friends out of almost any bind on the trail. But don’t let the 2022 Ford Bronco’s fully-modified 4×4 appearance and its superior off-road capabilities discourage you from choosing it as your daily driver because the Bronco is capable of many things.

The Many Faces of the 2022 Ford Bronco

No matter which of the 2022 Ford Bronco’s nine trims you choose, all of them are capable of providing you with outstanding performance no matter what terrain you drive on. With your choice of either a 4-cylinder or 6-cylinder engine, both are capable of towing up to 3,500 pounds. The 4-cylinder model gives you the option of either an automatic or manual transmission. However, with both transmissions available with the smaller engine option, you can benefit from better fuel economy with its estimated combined 20 MPG versus the combined 19 MPG with the V6, which still is not bad for an SUV that can take you anywhere. For even more versatility, this daily driver off-road warrior even works as a passenger vehicle if you want it to be.

You can choose between a two-door or four-door model with either a hardtop or a soft-top with the 2022 Ford Bronco, providing seating for up to five passengers depending on the model. The two-door models seat up to four people with a total of 99 cubic feet of passenger volume. The larger four-door variety provides seating for the maximum number of passengers and offers a total of 103.7 cubic feet of passenger volume with hardtop models and 108.2 cubic feet with the soft-top option, which is plenty of room for everyone to stay in their own space while bouncing around the cabin of the Bronco out on the trails. Before you do head out onto the trail, don’t forget to pack because, with 23.6 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats of the two-door models and 35.6 cubic feet in the designated cargo area of the four-door Broncos, there’s plenty of room for all of the essentials you need to bring along.

Since your Bronco will be both your daily commuter and passenger vehicle during the workweek as well as your weekend 4×4 rig, Ford made sure the transition between the two was seamless with your choice of many interior designs based on your preferences for style, technology, and how dirty you think your Bronco will get. Plus, with rubberized flooring and drain plugs, the mud from your weekend adventures can be easily cleaned up to prepare you for Monday morning at the office.

Are You Ready to Hit the Trail?

Not everyone has the time or the resources to build their own trail warrior or have the space or the financing to own an extra vehicle just to play in the mud. However, if you hunger for adventure away from the monotony of your daily life and envy those with off-road rigs capable of any terrain, your day has come. The 2022 Ford Bronco has brought the G.O.A.T. concept to a whole new level for daily drivers. From a week of commuting to work to a weekend getaway out on the trails, you’ll have no limits on where you can venture while driving the Bronco.

For an even better ride, the new Everglades edition brings the Bronco’s rugged looks to a new level, turning heads wherever you go to match its superior performance off the pavement. So when you’re ready for an adventure, look into the G.O.A.T. 2022 Ford Bronco. At the very least, you won’t regret taking it out for a test drive.
