10 Things We Love About the 2022 Buick Enclave

SUVs come in many shapes and sizes, along with multiple different purposes. There are options for off-roaders, travelers, outdoor adventurers, and daily commuters. But those who love luxury, technology, performance, and space will love an SUV model like the Buick Enclave. It offers a nice balance of about everything the average driver could need and more. The Enclave has been a popular large luxury SUV option for a while now, but the 2022 Buick Enclave adds even more to the table. Between its traditional specs that haven’t changed and its new additions, this model is one you won’t want to miss out on.

10. Standard Driver Assist Features

The Enclave has always included optional driver assist features. However, Buick makes several important driver assist technologies standard on the new 2022 Buick Enclave model as part of the Buick Driver Confidence Plus Package. These include Automatic Emergency Braking, Front Pedestrian Detection, and IntelliBeam Auto High Beams. Plus, you’ll also get Rear Cross Traffic Alert, which notifies you when a vehicle is approaching from the aisle behind you, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, which centers you in the appropriate lane, and Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert. Whether you choose the lowest Essence trim or the highest Avenir trim, these features come at no added cost to you. You can count on your Buick Enclave to keep you extra safe on the road.

9. A Brand-New Exterior!

The Buick Enclave has always been an aesthetically appealing model; however, the 2022 model’s new restyle makes it even more luxurious. Oddly enough, a vehicle’s grille makes all the difference, and Buick knows this. That’s why they’ve added a much wider grille with a more noticeable mesh design to make the vehicle really pop. The top-tier Avenir’s grille is even more special, as it has its own unique design compared to the other two trims. In addition to its new grille, this model also includes a new, slimmer headlight design, along with different tail lights to match. The 2022 Buick Enclave is not simply a copy-pasted version of the previous model, and that’s something we’re very much looking forward to.

8. A Convenient and Appealing Interior Design

The interior of this model is great no matter what trim you choose. However, the Avenir definitely provides a more luxurious feel. We love how the Avenir offers its own unique interior specs, such as a chrome cargo accent and other interior accents. It also has quilted seating and wooden accents that really take the Enclave’s luxury game up a notch. Plus, this trim also includes luxury features such as heated and ventilated seating that also come with massage settings. All new 2022 Buick Enclave trims will include a push-button shifter now as well, and its interior still seats up to 7 people. There’s no doubt about it; you’ll definitely feel comfortable and luxurious riding in this model.

7. All-Wheel Drive Capability

Just because it’s fancy doesn’t mean it can’t knock up dust when it needs to. While the new Enclave comes with standard front-wheel drive, you’ll also have the option to take home an all-wheel drive 2022 Buick Enclave. This will only cost you a few miles per gallon, and it makes it easier to drive in snow, ice, and rain, and even on gravel and steeper inclines. But most importantly, when you’re from the south, this all-wheel drive capability comes in handy for downpours and muddy backroads. The south’s version of ice is mud, and that’s no exaggeration. When things get slippery, you can count on the all-wheel drive Enclave to keep you on track.

6. Impressive Fuel Economy

Despite its large size and powerful V6 engine, the 2022 Buick Enclave still gets up to 26 miles per gallon on the highway with an estimated 21 miles per gallon combined fuel economy rating. It’s difficult to find an SUV that doesn’t drain your fuel tank, especially when you’ve got a model that is tow-capable, but this model manages to stay both fuel-efficient and powerful. The days of only getting 11 miles per gallon in a large SUV are over.

5. Impressive Towing Capacity

Speaking of all that power, it’s important to note that the new Enclave can tow up to 5,000 pounds. This means that you can tow anything from fishing boats to a trailer loaded with plants, and you can do so in style. Towing capabilities aren’t limited to trucks and non-luxury SUVs, and the new Buick Enclave is proof of that. In fact, even models like the Jeep Wrangler can only tow up to 3,500 pounds, and they’re designed for outdoorsy drivers. Long story short, don’t let anyone use capability reasons to detour you from getting a luxury model like the Enclave.

4. Standard Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto

CD and cassette players are in the past, so accessible and simple audio streaming is a must. You don’t have to worry about handing over the auxiliary cord anymore, thanks to Buick’s wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connection. Whether you’re an iPhone lover or a Droid owner, you can rest easy knowing that Spotify and Apple Music can take the lead when you’re not using SiriusXM Radio.

3. It’s Way More Affordable Than Competing Models

GM is great about making sure that vehicles are affordable yet high-quality. Chevy models are designed for the average everyday driver, while GMC models add a bit of a luxury feel in there, and Buick models carry the full luxury title. When you compare the 2022 Buick Enclave to competing models such as the Cadillac XT6 or the BMW X5, you’ll notice a huge price difference, with the Enclave landing the most affordable title. When you want luxury without breaking your bank, the new Enclave is your best option.

2. Great Tech Add-Ons

We love how the 2022 Buick Enclave includes standard safety and tech features, but there are extra impressive available convenience features as well that may blow your mind. For example, you can add a head-up display, which means that all your important dashboard stats will display on your windshield. This is done by using a projection that keeps you from having to look away from the road. You can also add on a Rear Pedestrian Detection technology, which alerts you when pedestrians are behind you. When you really want to get the most luxurious driving experience, the Enclave’s add-ons are there to serve you.

#1. Bumps Are a Breeze!

Despite all of its amazing tech features, its aesthetic appeal, and its power, our favorite aspect of this model is its smooth ride. SUVs aren’t always the smoothest around. Remember the old Jeep Wranglers? Yeah, not a great time. But somehow, the 2022 Buick Enclave is able to balance power and comfort perfectly. While we obviously don’t recommend taking this luxury model hardcore off-roading, it’s nice to know that it’s both smooth and capable when you need it.

Usually, there are pros and cons when it comes to SUVs. Although their space and power are impressive, larger SUV models typically take a big hit on fuel economy and may be loud or ride roughly. This is something that the 2022 Buick Enclave manages well. For a ride that’s comfortable, convenient, and safe, check out the new Buick Enclave. You won’t regret it.
