2) Safety
Chevrolet is frequently upgrading the features and technologies, especially when it comes to the passenger’s safety. Some of the available features are not only convenient but can assist all types of drivers on the road.

Many people have trouble seeing how close they are to an object behind them, so the camera minimizes the doubts in depth perception. The rear-view camera mirror helps the driver see a wider range of what’s around them while driving.
High Definition Surround Vision
Parking is made even easier with the surround vision. It gives the driver a bird’s eye view at a high resolution to assist with maneuvering around any nearby objects. To further assist with close navigation, there are more ways to view around the vehicle.
Lane Change Alert With Side Blind Zone Alert
While changing lanes, the side mirrors will alert the driver when another vehicle is moving through their blind spot or approaching at a greater speed.
Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning and Side Blind Zone Alert
This feature alerts the driver and will gently guide the wheel back into the correct lane if they have not used their turn signal.
Forward Collision Alert
If the vehicle senses a front end collision is about to happen, the driver will be alerted. This could be whether the vehicle in front of the car brakes too fast or if the driver is following too close behind.
Rear Cross Traffic Alert
If vehicles are approaching from either the left or right sides while in reverse the driver will be alerted. This assists the driver in avoiding cross traffic collisions while parking in obstructed areas.
3) Reliability
Chevy vehicles are extremely reliable, and there is more than enough evidence to prove so. Chevy owners have the ability to hold on to their long lasting cars and trucks because they reach an unbelievable number of miles.
Most people would never even think about buying a used car that has over 100,000 miles on it, but a Chevy will last twice that mileage. With regular upkeep, a Chevy can last for a million miles, literally.
Over the course of seven years, a couple drove a 2006 Chevy Silverado 3500 for 1.2 million miles. It was still, being driven for an average of 500 miles per day when they first hit that record, and they even continued to occasionally sleep in the truck.
The only issue they had was an oil leak, but they always maintained the truck’s basic needs like oil changes, tire and filter replacements, and catching any little noises before they turned into major problems. Their story is proof of the dependability and reliability of a Chevy.
Chevrolet also has a certified pre-owned system that ensures that the vehicle meets the company’s standards. The vehicle is inspected, refurbished, and all safety recalls are completed before the owner drives away. The certification allows the buyer to feel free from worry, knowing that the vehicle won’t fall apart in just a few weeks. Many used models on the market are over 200,000 miles, but still run great and are a perfect alternative to buying new because they will get you right where you need to be.
4) Awards
Chevy has been exceeding expectations for a while, as you can see from a quick google search. Many of their models have received more than one award, although other models haven’t earned any. If every single Chevy model had won awards, I’d be more inclined to believe that they were merely participation trophies, but these are no mere giveaways.
The Chevy Silverado is one of the most popular pickup trucks, and for good reason. Kelley Blue Book awarded the model Best Resale Value for a Full-Size Pickup in 2017 and 2018. In 2017, The Silverado also received the Best 5-year Cost to Own for a Full-Size Pickup Regular Cab by Kelley Blue Book.
Similar to the Silverado, the Colorado is another top choice for Chevy trucks. It was labeled Edmunds Most Wanted Mid Size Truck as well as Four Wheeler Pickup Truck of the Year in 2018. Kelley Blue Book awarded the Colorado the Best 5-year Cost to Own for a Mid-Size Pickup Extended Cab.

Another well-known model is the Corvette, earning the 2019 ZR1 Road & Track Performance Car of the Year award. In 2019, the Camaro received the Car and Driver 10 Best for the Grand Sport and the Z06.
The Spark is a less common Chevy model, but it still earned the 5-year cost to own for a subcompact car by Kelley Blue Book in 2017 as well as 2018.
NHTSA gave the Sonic 5 stars for an overall vehicle score in 2018 and 2019 which is great for an uncommon model. Kelley Blue Book’s Coolest New Car under $18,000 was awarded in 2018 to the Sonic.
The Bolt EV has definitely made its mark. In 2017, the IIHS named it a top safety pick when equipped with optional driver confidence. In 2018 and 2019, the NHTSA gave the model an overall vehicle score of 5 stars. Chevy gains another Kelley Blue Book’s Best Resale Value award in 2017 and 2018 for electric vehicles.

It’s no wonder why there is such a diverse range of Chevy drivers on the road. Old school and new school lovers both agree that Chevy is one of the best brands. They last longer than other vehicles with only minimal repairs and at the end of the day, why fix what’s not broken?
